He was great. Not sure if he was better than the folks he worked with, like Carl Malden, who was forever in documentaries talking about Marlon Brando's great contribution to the screen. Malden may have been the better actor. Remember him in Baby Doll? Or how about Bette Davis, come to think of it? But Brando was great. And he had an extremely masculine beauty, that may have been the thing that really bowled folks over.
